In 2023, Kia looked to solidify its inspirational image and rally its fans in Latin America around a topic that inspires the world to move: music. How better to do it than to partner with one of Latin Music’s brightest stars, Manuel Turizo? Mario Ortiz was instrumental in the conceptualization, negotiation, production and implementation of the promotion.
The Kia x Manuel Turizo promotion entailed strong video and social media content that invited fans to dealerships for a chance to meet their idol. The campaign drove massive social media engagement amongst fans, PR and showroom traffic.
The campaign culminated with a one of a kind meet and greet with the Latin Music star at Sony Music studios in Miami.

After launching 3 new SUV’s in a space of 2 years, Kia wanted to showcase the change in the brand.
Kia’s SUV Lineup campaign in 2022 announced to the world that the new Kia is here to stay.
Taking clues from the main ideals of the Kia Brand Relaunch, the campaign was titled “Driven by Inspiration.”
Mario Ortiz was in charge of the strategic direction, creative development, content production and advertising campaign planning and implementation in an integrated 360° marketing campaign.
Analyzing A/B Testing Results of Marketing Campaigns
With a strong interest in data science and a background in marketing, I embarked on this Kaggle project to not only practice data analysis but also to focus on developing my Python skills. The data set simulates the results of A/B testing for two different online marketing campaigns: a Control Campaign and a Test Campaign. My objective was to determine which campaign was more effective across various performance metrics using Python for data manipulation and visualization.

Our product communication focused on Kia Caren’s advanced technology and practicality.
Research: Kia Regional Brand Tracking Study
In August 2021, Kia CSA held the Kia Brand Relaunch region-wide and felt the need to track the impact this has had in the minds of our customers.
We also wanted to have a comprehensive diagnosis of our brand position in the major countries of the region.
This country was the first of it’s kind in the region and provided many valuable insights.
